Early Entry change...

First train from IOA to US is at 8:30am... when were there two weeks ago taking the HE to US seemed to be a better plan than lining up at the US gate... that is if you wanted to do some of the HP attractions in IOA with no waits at all. We did everything HP in IOA in the EE hour.

If I head to IOW for EE and do all HP attractions and then stick there and do the other attractions until lunch - I was then thinking it doing US in the afternoon- I know I will gave to queue for gringotts and DA will be busy - but otherwise - is this a bad plan? Also what time in the am will I be able to ride HE? I want to do the round rptrip starting from and returning from IOA in the morning in order to complete our morning there? Advice welcomed thx

That plan can work fine. Our arrival day 2 weeks ago, we caught the HE over to DA in the afternoon. The last hour of Park open, Gringott's was hanging around a 30-45 minute wait. Not bad, really. The only thing you have to watch out for is if Gringott's has been down during the day or HE being down. We waited 45 minutes for HE that afternoon because it had been down. When it was running smoothly during the day, it was usually around a 15-20 minute wait. It seems to eat people pretty good.

HE started running between 8:30am-842am on the 8am EE mornings. It was down one morning, however, coming back up close to 9am......

That's really helpful - thank you

Ack! I hope it changes back to UO before our trip next month. Honestly, that's the only reason we booked onsite. We've been to Hogsmeade but we want to get the EE to Diagon Alley.

UO stated the studios would have early entry once the parry hotter celebration event was over.

depending on crowds during spring break, ee could change the times to an earlier start up or have both parks with ee.
we will have to wait and see.

for now, studios is open for ee.

Any ideas/rumors what will happen during Spring Break, specifically 3/14-16? I hope both parks have EE, like during the summer. I think IOA having EE is really dumb, since everyone wants to do the new stuff at USF. I guess it's better than nothing though.

I'm 99% sure they will have EE for both parks especially at US for spring break time.

Woohoo! That's what I'm hoping. However, Spring Break is a subjective definition. I just wish they would announce it soon, so that Touring Plans could update their info and I can re-optimize my plans.

They really should have the early opening park listed ahead of time. It would make developing a touring strategy much easier.

We are going in a few days (Sun-Tues) and still aren't 100% sure which park will be opening early.

For what its worth (and not sure if it still applies), during our stay 2/5-8, early entry was IOA, I asked a TM when it would be switched back to US and he said he had no idea as far as he know it was staying IOA for the time being.

3/28 - 4/11 will have EE for both parks. I don't think there is anything official for after that.

Someone posted in another thread that it would be US after the 11th.
We were there from the 11-13th and it was IOA. First day we did IOA with the castle and the 2nd day we took the train over and was just ahead of the crowd. Gringotts was a 45 min. wait but when actually in the line and at the ride, it was only 30 min. No problems and loved it.
