Early Entry Change?

Another site is suggesting that the problem of too many guests having early entry might be solved by having Cabana Bay (and offsite?) early entry guests let into one park, with RPH, HRH and PB hotel guests being let early into a different park. Thoughts? DO you think this is likely? If so, what do you think they'd do with the Hogwart's Express transferring people between parks?

Well, if they were to do that, and have Hogwarts Express running, then the people who were getting into IOA early would just hop on the train to get to Diagon Alley anyway, and there still would be a crush to get into Diagon, although the people let into US early would still have at least a little advantage I guess. I wonder if somehow they could have Hogwarts Express be somehow round trip only during that first hour- that would still keep the early entries separate.

I don't think it's that big of a problem. A lot more people enter early from booking packages than onsite hotel guests. They can cut back on that if they're too worried about overcrowding.

I can see them doing something similar to what Disney does. Disney has selected early openings on different days. I can see Universal doing say Cabanas and off site going to HM on say Mon Weds Fri and the other 3 resorts getting DA. Then they swap on Tues, Thurs, Sat, with sun either an off day or the outside partner hotels.

The HM Express is easy. It wont run until the parks regular hours. That will keep the crowds fairly well spread out.

Do not think if they alternate days for EE would go over very well for those staying at the deluxe resorts .

I wouldn't be surprised to see them alternate early admissions between the parks and the different hotels.

This is the wording in the latest pincode.

†Early Park Admission begins one (1) hour prior to regularly scheduled park opening to one (1) Universal Orlando theme park as determined by Universal Orlando.

Disneyland does something similar with their onsite and offsite early admissions.

That wording just makes it so they can select as needed one park for EE at Universals choice. Not both parks at the same time.

They might only have EE at US for a while until DA cools down.

Like all other changes, probably not.
To me it reads that Universal is going to say you can come in early on these days that we decide,to the park we decide. Unless they are planning on charging for an additional EE that would cover both parks, as well as alternate the days.

WDW does something similar except its with the parks. Each day is a different EE park. I forget what the schedule is but its something like Sun MK,Mon,Epcot, Tues AK, Weds DHS, Thurs MK, Fri Epcot, Sat AK.

I can think of a couple of different things that Universal can do. Some short term some long term.

Option 1: Limit EE to IOA for the short term until crowds settle from the opening.

Option 2: Alternate early entry between the resorts.

Option 3: Alternate early entry during certain times of the year, such as high demand times like Christmas, summer etc. The rest of the year, no change, as it is now.

Option 4: Alternate EE between the resorts, and charge for an upgrade for both parks or park of your choice.

Option 5: No change until US management gets a better sense on how the new resort affects EE.

Option 6: New resort gets a fee based EE with outside hotels following suit.

Time will tell what US is thinking.

I think there will be too many people for early admission if all the hotels and offsite packages are going to one park. It would be different if the entire park was open but if it is just DA, that's going to be a lot of people for one ride.

This.

There will have to do SOMETHING because of the sheer number of people. That means both parks or only one park but the whole park is open.Right now all of Cabana Bay isnt open, when it does that will be alot more people added to the perk.PLUS all the offsite people that have it thru the partner hotel packages..If they only have ONE area of ONE park everyday with all those people ( peak season) it means gridlock. Not much of a perk

Or they could just keep the early entry at IOA, with the train closed till the studios opens, until DA has calmed down some.
