early entry bag check and make your own wand

Hi we are going this weekend and I have two question. Any assistance you give would be deeply appreciated.

1. Do you make your own wand at Ollivanders or do you buy a pre-made one?

2. If you have early entry and you are allowed into the park at 8:00 is that 8:00 after passing through the bag check and waiting in line for 8. Or is it you are allowed in at 8:00 and then have to go through bag check?

1. You buy them--there are about two dozen to choose from. Actually, Ollivander's itself is a show where one of a group of 25 or so is selected to participate in a reenactment of the scene from HP1 where Harry gets his wand. You cannot buy a wand here. After the show, you are herded into the Owl Post, where the wands are available for purchase. For this reason, you do not need to wait in the line for Ollivander's to buy a wand.

2. Bag check is well before the turnstiles. If you are taking a boat from your hotel, the bag check will happen as you board the boat. If you walk, it will happen just before you get to City Walk--at least in the case of walking from RPR. I assume there is a similar bag check point at the north end before you enter the City Walk area near the Studios.
