I'm on the phone with dining and they have a 4:10 and 4:15 rezzie for dinner at CM during one of the days we are there. Has anyone gone there that early for dinner? Pros/Cons?? If it matters we are traveling with our 1yr old son, so obviously wouldn't want anything too late, but that's kinda early for dinner. Guess we could consider it a late lunch ;)

I have had a 5:00PM dinner there and it was a little early and not very crowded. But it was nice because it wasnt TOO crazy. It gives you an opportunity to take your time and not feel rushed I think. Plus you have the rest of the evening free.

I prefer the dinners at opening. You know for certain you are getting fresh food at the buffet and Mickey & Minnie won't be tired from visiting all the other tables already.

We were there last month and the restaurant didn't open till 5:00. One good thing is we got our table right away. The food was nice and fresh, but the only draw back for us getting there right at opening is that the atmosphere was still a little laid back. I had always heard this was a rowdy place. We got to see all of the characters before we finished except Minnie. She was greeting people waiting for their table and she wasn't when we were seated. Do you know what time it opens that day? I do think Chef Mickey's is fun no matter the time and I've never minded having a late lunch at Disney. It gives me plenty of time to walk my very full tummy off and then gives me an excuse for a snack later!
