early check in?

we'll be arriving in orlando at about 10:15 and check in for our hotel(comfort inn lake buena vista) isn't until 3pm. do they let you check into hotels early without adding an extra fee?

It depends on the hotel. Most properties allow an early check-in without any additional costs, but officially, rooms are ready at the check-in time (usually around 3 or 4 pm). If your room is not ready, most hotels have a storage area for your luggage.

I was just there after Christmas and no, you can't. Not only that, but when I did show back up at 3 to get a room, they tried to tell me that they weren't cleaned yet and I needed to come back in a few hours. I had to demand a manager to get a room at the official check-in time.
