We are driving to Disney 10/11, arriving sometime after midnight. My ressies begin 10/12 at CBR for 7 nights. I would like to check in at CBR and avoid the hassle of moving from an area hotel to CBR the next morning. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with checking into a Disney resort late night without a reservation? What are the odds that there will be an available room that night? Hmmm, maybe I could call them from the road to see if there are any rooms available for that one night and just move to my preferred location the next day? What do you think?

I have read somewhere that the resorts pro-rate room rates for late check outs, I was wondering if they will do the same for late-check ins, you know trying to sell the unbooked room..Any advice will be appreciated.

Thanks:confused:

BTW, that wouldn't be an early check in, that would be a late check in. If you want to stay at CBR I would make arrangements now.

They don't do any special rates for walk ups and usually refer you to CRO. They would charge you for a full day. By taking care of this now you would more than likely get to stay in the same room for 8 days.

Also you could apply any codes so that you don't pay rack rates.

Thanks, I meant early check in to resort since my ressies actually are for 10/12, I will not pay full rate for only a few hours but will consider paying a discounted rate with codes. Do you know of any available for October?

If not then I'll stay off site for a few hours and try to check in early on the 12th so I can hit the parks by noon.

We have checked in to CBR at 6 AM several times. 2 out of 3 times the room was ready. You can do all the paperwork, get your keys and be ready to hit the parks. If the room isn't ready then they will give you a number to call to check if it's done.

You will pay full rack rate if you just show up. We did that one year. We were going to stop in Jacksonville, but DH was not tired. We showed up at 2am at the WL. They didn't have any rooms, so they sent us to POR. We paid full rate for 7 hours.

We didn't do that again.
