Early check-in at HRH for FOTL

We have a 2 hr. drive the morning we arrive. Want to get to the parks early and not quite sure what we will have to go through to get ourselves set up for FOTL. We already have 2 day passes and are staying at HRH. Do we have to do anything extra once we check in and get to park gates? Any advice to expidite things would be appreciated.

You can drive directly to the HRH and check in. I have done this as early as 7:30 AM. I got the room keys at that time, even though the room was not ready until later in the day. We left our luggage in the car in the HRH parking lot until our room was ready. We were given a # to call to check on our room. We just walked to the parks from the HRH. I think my DS had a swim suit accessible and changed in the locker room by the pool so he could swim before the room was ready.

You don't have to leave your luggage in the car. You can take it with you when you check into the hotel and the bell people will hold it for you until your room is ready.
