I'm hoping someone can answer this for me... We have an 8:10 breakfast PS at CRT in May. We will be travelling from WL, so I'm hoping there will be a boat early enough or even a bus to TTC to hop the monorail. If the park doesn't open until 9:00 on the day of our PS, will we be able to use Disney transportation or will we need to find another way to get there?

TIA

They will have transportation available for you early enough. If you are really worried or miss the boat, you can always walk it. But Disney has been doing the pre-opening PS at CRT for a long time now, and they always provide sufficiant transportation for their on-site guests.

I would double check with the front desk to make sure they can get you there on time. If Magic Kingdom opens at 9 the busses should start at 8. That is cutting it pretty close. We always use the bus system and haven't really noticed busses that early in the morning unless it is EE day.

(pumpkinboy) I don't think you can walk from wilderness lodge to Magic Kingdom

From the Wilderness Lodge, you will need to hop on board the bus marked TRAN/TICKET CTR. This bus runs every 12 minutes starting at 7:00am. It will be a 2 minute ride over to the TTC where you will catch the Resort Monorail to the Magic Kingdom (10 mins).

From NON-MK Resorts -- MK buses start running at 6:30am. DAK and Studios (for the Epcot Resorts) will start at 7:00am. Epcot at 7:30.

Chip: Do the busses for the Transportation center start at 7:00 from all the hotels. We are at Riverside later this week and will need to do the same thing. Thanks

Only WL & FW have buses that go to the TTC. You will take a MK bus from POR to get to the early seatings at CRT. The schedule as Tyler posted:

I have a 8:05 for the Crystal Palace in June. I will be at the PC will I be able to get a bus or will I have to drive my car?
Also, I have a PS for 8:10 for Breakfastasauras will I be able to get a bus to AK for this from PC or will I have to take my car?
These PS's are not on EE days. Thanks in advance for any help.

Tyler, what time do the park buses start in the mornings? ;)

<G.O. ducks after starting trouble> :rotfl:

Tyler or GoldenOldie, Is this something new or has it always been that way. Everytime we have asked at out hotel they tell us the busses start running about 1 hour before the park opens.
Also a couple of people are doing a tour at MK 1 hour before it opens and they were told when they booked it they had to find there own transportation. They would need to be at MK at 8:00 on a day MK opens at 9.

we are staying at POFQ and have an 8:05 breakfast at Crystal Palace on May 8th and were told we had to find our own transportation there. It would be a whole lot more convenient let alone less expensive to get Disney Transportation!!

Is it true we could go on a Disney bus????

There's a cardinal rule that you will learn about Disney transportation in general and buses in particular. That is if you want to know the correct information regarding Disney transportation, ask someone wearing purple pants, not someone behind a desk in a resort or a reservations center. The "purple pants" are the Disney bus drivers. They can tell you about all the current service since Disney's bus schedules change constantly.

Tyler, until very recently, was one of those bus drivers. I'd take his word over a resort CM's or a reservations center CM's anytime.

Your friends will have no trouble getting to the MK gate by 8:00 am by bus.

Yes, it's true! :)

Indeed, I always tell guests if they want accurate transportation information, to ask someone wearing purple pants. It sounds crazy, but it's SO true. The call centers (aka the "Front Desk" when you use your room phone) and as well as the real front desks don't always know all the nitty gritty about transportation. They HAVE the information, whether or not they choose to read it is another story.

We were lucky, here at Pop Century, we had the luxury of spending an entire day learning about Disney Transport, so that our front desk would know about these things. But then again, we also weren't open yet, so we could afford such luxury.

I personally spent 3 years in transportation, first in Monorails, and then Bus Operations. So, I wore purple pants for nearly 2 years... :)

Thanks Tyler. All these years we planned all early morning activities around opening times at the parks. It is like so many other things at Disney, the amount of different answers you get to the same question is amazing. Thanks again.

And the moral of the story is:
Even if you have an early PS, if you are staying at a Disney resort, the Disney buses will get you there on time.
The folks in purple pants have spoken, thus it shall be so ;) . It seems we all need a little reassurance once in a while tho.
