We have reservations for character breakfast at 8am when AK opens at 9am. It looks like there is a walk way from the Tusker House just past the Harambe theater to the FOP. Will that be open in the morning before rope drop. We are quick eaters and will be done by 8:40am and want to get in line for the FOP.

1. Yes.
2. No. It won't likely be open until closer to 11:00 or 11:30AM.
3. You'll need to go the conventional route, past Pizzafari, and be at the end of a very long line.

How early do the cast member let you into the park if you have a reservation for 9:10am

It definitely won't be an advantage for you to do this. You'd be better off eating at your resort and getting to AK before rope drop to minimize your FOP wait. We were there at the tail end of August, got to AK about an hour before opening and walked on. Maybe save Tusker House for brunch or lunch?

We are doing rope drop for FOP on our AK day and have a 10:30 Tusker House breakfast ADR. We plan to be at the park at least an hour before it opens. I'll make coffee at the resort and have a small breakfast bar or something to hold me until breakfast.

When I went to rope drop early Nov. a hour before opening, the lines were way past the ticket booths. What helped was getting in the AP line(I have an AP) that only had 20 ppl or so. They let guests in at 45 minutes prior to open. Held us at the bridge for 20 minutes or so, then walked the line route about 15 minutes prior to opening, right on to the ride.

Thank you, Kitty. Maybe we will try for 1.5 hours before opening! Our AK day is a morning EMH Day day with EMH starting at 8. I'll try getting there more like 630/645. I've heard 75 mins before opening works pretty well too!

That is awesome we also Have APs

My 6 year old Grandson is really excited about it but we have the 1 year old we are taking too so we will do rider switch so my 6 year old can ride 2 times.

I haven't been to Pandora yet but from what I've read in order to have a short wait for FOP you have to be one of the first people in the main group heading to Pandora. Having a breakfast reservation would be a huge disadvantage.
