Early booking price question

I know everyone is saying it is cheaper to book early.

We are looking at going in September 2008, I'd like to book as early as possible, but we can't book the flights until 330 days before. We can be flexable staying in the area before and afterwards, so that can be worked around, but can anyone give me an idea how much we might save (2 adults), or at what sort of rate the prices increase.

It is our first cruise so don't mind a low cat cabin, as long as we get some sort of sea view.

Book as soon as the dates are released, regardless of the airline. Sept. is a less busy time to go, as school just started and it's hurricane season. Regardless, the first released prices are overwhelmingly the cheapest. The rates usually increase as the ship fills. The great thing is you can cancel with zero penalty up to 75 days out. Other than putting up the deposit, why would you wait?

Is booking as soon as the rates are released even cheaper than booking on board??? By booking in board, we saved 10% PLUS we got a $200 per stateroom credit (that's times TWO for us/$400) ... I figured we saved $1200 by booking on board.
