It's not on every Chase card, specific to one of the Southwest Chase credit cards. At least, I think so. My husband and I both have this card, one of the benefits is 4 upgraded boardings per year. I have used my card (at terminal gate, based on availability) to purchase upgraded boarding when we didn't have early bird & the plane was full and we were stuck in C because we forgot to check in right away. I purchased it for both of us and two of the credits were applied. I can't recall if we were on same record locator or not -
Upgraded boardings have been a thing for a while with the higher AF card. Recently they added a small number of Early Bird Check In reimbursements. You as the card holder can use them for whoever you want.
