We have been to WDW at the end of August but never the beginning. We are looking @ 2 weeks, starting at the very end of July/first of August. What are the crowds like then? The weather? Humidity? I am clueless and thought it was time to ask my Dis Friends! :) Thanks! :goodvibes

The weather and humidity are pretty similar to later in the month. As far as crowds, they are higher but not totally unmanageable. You just need to be smart about getting FPs, and get to the parks when they open. It's also helpful to avoid EMH parks - they tend to be more crowded.

great question and hope you don't mind me adding my own, due to UK school holidays we have only been peak times either easter or mid july. this year the free dining has hooked us in and we have decided to go on 2nd aug for 3 weeks - 24th aug flight home. however we are at diseny from 9th aug, we always have a good strategy to get in early but it would be lovely to have slightly fewer crowds...when do the american crowds get less? any chance of less busy park?
thanks

The florida schools start up around the first or second week of august. this limits the local crowds, but the rest of the country ( to the best of my knowledge) goes back around the first week of september. We go every year over labor day weekend ( first weekend in sept) and sometimes we are practically the only people in the parks. I have pictures from epcot early in september where I stood in one place, took a picture, turned 180 degrees, took another picture, and there are no people in the pictures. I am going to venture that the later in the month, the lesser the crowds will be.

I agree with this, except if you go to extre magic hours morning, and get there before the parks open, you can get alot done in a few hours. I avoid extra magic hours evening like the plague.
