Early August vs. Week Of/After Thanksgiving

I haven't finished my trip reports and I'm already thinking of the next trip.

Which would be better - Early August or Thanksgiving and the week after?

Weather & crowd-wise after Thanksgiving would probably be better than early August.

I agree. We went for 15 days over Thanksgiving and the week after this past Thanksgiving. Now we are going the last two weeks of July for 2005. We are trying summer since we have so much school and Cheerleading stuff going on in Nov now.

I love it that time of year.

We went in July the first trip. It was hot, hot, hot. LOL.

January was too cold for us.

Trying to find a happy medium.

I never went the week after Thanksgiving, but I know many people who have and swear that it's the best time to go, crowds and weather wise. I've been to WDW in August, and "hot" just doesn't describe it! It's very sticky and humid, I will start to sweat from just standing in one spot for a few minutes! Of course it's still WDW, but if I had to choose I would go during a cooler month.

Well, we have gone the past two summers in mid-August...like the 13th or 15th for a week. This year was the year of the hurricane. That was fun!! We had a good time in August of '04 so figured we would do it again. After last summer, no more for us. We are trying June this year tho.

We did go for Thanksgiving this year. We arrived on Thanksgiving Day. Went over to MGM and it was brutal. No way was I going to set foot in MK that day!!! The day after (Friday) we walked over to Epcot. It was very crowded. Each day past Thanksgiving the parks got a little less congested, until Monday morning. That was when it got really nice. Weather was wonderful, crowds were way down. Too bad we had to leave on Wednesday. If you can go for the week after Thanksgiving I think you will be very happy with your choice. It is even still warm enough to swim!!
