I'm going to Disney world for the first time in December. We were planning to arrive on sat the 17th and we wanted to be able to spend atleast half day on Saturday at Disney world. All the flight don't get in until really late at night so we found a flight that leaves late on Friday and arrives in Orlando at 5 am on Saturday but what in the world would we do if we arrived that early I doubt we could check in and I'm sure nothing is open. Any tips would be great.

By the time you clear baggage claim, etc., and take ME to your Resort it will be after 6:00. At that time you can check in for your room. You will get your KTTW, which includes room key, tickets and dining and it will be valid at that time.

If your room is not ready, they will give you a telephone number to call; when your room is ready they will let you know and give you your room number, so you will not have to go back to the Front Desk.

Also, if the room is not ready you can have your carry-on luggage stored at Bell Services and they will bring it to you when you are in the room. Likewise, if you have luggage checked and use ME your luggage will show up in your room.

What resort are you staying in? Hopefully your room will be empty the day before and you'll be able to go there right away but unfortunately that's not something you can count on. We went last November and i was surprised when we checked in at 7:30am that our rooms were ready as they had not been used the night before. If that works out for a you a quick nap before hitting your first park would be a good energy boost as it sounds like you're flying a red-eye to Orlando.

If your room is not ready, there might be an option to go to a resort and enjoy the beautiful Christmas decorations. What park is your park of choice for your arrival day? If it's the Magic Kingdom or Epcot you could take the monorail loop and visit the Grand Floridian, Contemporary and Polynesian.

Possibly book a breakfast reservation for 7am?

Hope this helps.

I agree with PP. Book a breakfast ADR at Chef Mickey, 1900 Park Fare, Grand Floridian Cafe, The Wave, Kona Cafe, Ohana, Whispering Canyon, or Cape May. You'll want something to eat anyway. It will probably wake you up and get you ready to enjoy one of the parks for a few hours. And the parks will be open by the time you finish breakfast. Enjoy the morning, go back to resort for a nap, and then hit the park again in the evening.

By the way, you don't say which week in December. If it is Christmas week, MK often opens as early as 7:00 a.m. that week, so watch the park hours.
