Early Anniversary, Would It Be Wrong...?

My husband and I are going to Disney this week 10/4-10/7 and staying at POP. We're unable to get to Disney for our first anniversary on 12/4 so we chose 10/4 and we're going to the MNSSHP on 10/5 for our celebration with "Behind the Seeds" and Biergarten for lunch on 10/6. Does anyone think it would be wrong to tell people we're there for our 1st Anniversary? I'm kind of torn about this.

We are going in Dec and actually celebrated our 10 year anniversary back in Feb. Unfortunately we couldn't travel at that time, so I figured I would say something this trip. I think like Disney, celebrate all year long

We will be there in May doing the same thing. Our actual anniversary is September 26 and we can't go then, so we are renewing our vows for our 20th anniversary and staying at WDW for 7 days. We will be wearing the Bride/Groom buttons. Enjoy.

You can be there to celebrate your anniversary regardless of when you anniversary is. If you're there to celebrate your anniversary in October (even though your anniversary is in December), go ahead and say so. Who says you HAVE to celebrate your anniversary on the actual day? There's no lying in this.

I don't see anything wrong with it. You do what you can do. My DH and I would have loved to celebrate our 7th anniversary going out to dinner. Unfortunately, we couldn't. So we went to dinner three days later instead to celebrate.

My husband and I are going to have a delayed 10th anniversary celebration. OUr anniversary is in August, 2007 will be 10 years. We honeymooned in WDW in January 1998 and so will be celebrating our 10th anniversary in January 2008. I don't see a problem with it. It is when we are able to celebrate!

We are going to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and our DD9th birthday when we are there in Dec. Her birthday fall on Dec. 1 during our trip, but our anniversary was actually in June. We couldn't do a trip for both events, so we chose to go in Dec. for DD birthday. I plan on getting the anniversary buttons and wearing them one day of our trip. My DD will get the birthday button for her birthday. Since this is our last trip to Disney, I'm going to celebrate!! You should do the same! Enjoy your trip!

We'll be doing our 6 month anniversary, and, yes, we will be making a big deal about it. We got engaged at CRT in 2004, spent part of our honeymoon at DLR-Paris this summer, and managed to book a trip for New Year's, including dinner on our anniversary at CRT. Have fun and enjoy!

ME TOO!!! This will be our 15th anniversary (sept 14) and we are going Nov. 11-17!! I am going to get the anniversary pins at every park.

WDW is a wonderful place to go to celebrate your anniversary... why should you be excluded just because for some reason you can't go on your actual anniversary? We have always had season passes, it doesn't make sense to pay more for annuals. But my bday and our anniversary are both in June, therefore we will never be able to go for our actual anniversary. But we have celebrated our anniversary twice at WDW in May and had no problem telling them we were there celebrating our anniversary!

My sister's birthday is Thanksgiving, mine is Christmas. Needless to say we don't really get a chance to celebrate our birthdays much! I'm going to get us a birthday cake the night we have dinner at Citricos. We will not do the birthday buttons and everything but I'm going for the cake.

Unless your name is Larry David, I say celebrate and don't worry about it. You can say you are celebrating your anniversary. If somebody asks for the actual day (and why would they) then you can tell them the actual day. It's not like you're trying to sneak a three year old into the park without a ticket.

Our 12th anniversary is November 26. We'll be in the World a few weeks later Dec 15-22. We are using our dinner at Le Cellier as our anniversary dinner this year. Who cares if it is a few weeks late?

I say go for it! It isn't always possible to celebrate a special occasion on the exact day. We will be celebrating my birthday at F & W later this month because that is when we could get the family together. It's not like we were there for my birthday last week and are going back next week and saying it is my birthday again.
