Early Anniversary Dinner?

During our upcoming trip, DH and I have planned an adults' night out where we'll be going to the Yachtsman, and then on to Kimonos for karaoke. It's actually a week before our anniversary, but we kind of wanted to make it an early celebration since we probably won't do anything on our actual anniversary when we get home.

Do the restaurants do anything special for anniversaries, like sing to you or anything? Should we even mention it? We don't want a huge fuss or anything, but we would like to have a nice night out.

I know that after my daughter got engaged last year (at the castle), we all went to Jellyrolls the next night and the piano players annoounced it and sang songs to them and were very sweet. It was alot of fun. I can only assume that they would do the same for an anniversary.

At YSH, our waiter had asked how our meal was and I raved about it saying how I had wanted a special meal for our anniversary and I was so glad we chose there. I didnt say it looking for anything(we were stuffed by then),I just casually mentioned it in conversation, but no sooner our waiter returned to our table with a plate of cookies and chocolate with Happy Anniversary written on the plate. However if it werent my anniversary I wouldnt have said anything.
