im just curious if anyone has ever made an early reservation and gotten into a park early, then skipped their actual reservation to be at their favorite attraction? Would be $10 per person penalty but, does it happen?

We have done 8:10 ADR at CP on a 9:00 am openning and from what we saw the various lands are roped off until they open the MK.

I have never done it but I have seen other post that they have done it. This was mostly to get in line for Anna & Elsa back when they were first in Epcot. But as other poster said, generally many of the other areas may be roped off so you can't get to your favorite attraction.

I'm sure it probably does. But I wouldn't count on being able to get to your intended attraction that early either. They usually have CM's and/or ropes keeping guests within defined areas. Instead of wasting both money and an ADR that someone else probably really wants, why not just eat quickly and then head towards the first ride on your agenda?

Sure that's an option (eating quickly). Was just curious if people do it. We generally eat breakfast at the hotel and do not go to rope drop.

I'm sure it happens, but I've never done it. We enjoy the CP breakfast too much! :) We generally finish in 45min or so and head out.
