We are considering making an early ADR for our first morning at one of the restaurants in the parks. How does this work?

The ADR is 8.05am with the park opening at 9am. The plan is to eat breakfast and head straight to a headliner before the park opens.

Does this work or will we finish breakfast and be escorted out of the park to line up?

It will be a close run thing, we should be done with eating a few minutes before 9am.

Has anyone done this before?

We're on the DDP and we have meals we know we won't use because we'll be out at DC and SW a couple of days, so we figure an ADR breakfast although not the best use of a Table Credit, isn't a huge loss.

You won't have to leave the Park if you are finished with Breakfast before official opening time but you will have to wait a bit to get on any rides, nothing else opens until the official opening time, you'll just wait around a bit with everyone else that finished Breakfast early

The other nice thing about an early breakfast ADR is that you can get good family pictures in an empty park before your reservation.

I don't know if they do this at other parks, but when we had an early ADR at HS about 4 years ago, they had the main walkway toward the hat roped off so that you were only able to go toward Hollywood and Vine for breakfast. You couldn't get anywhere else until the park actually opened.

They obviously can't do that with MK since CP isn't right at the entrance, but they may rope off the Hub paths. I really don't know.

Don't expect your pics to be completely people free. We entered MK before park opening for a CRT reservation and got pics in front of the castle. There are lots of people heading to the castle in the pics... they let a LOT of people in at once for ADR's.

We do an 8:05/ 8:10 am at CP in MK every year on our first full day. We enter through a far turn style and are able to get some great shots. We usually can't get through breakfast 100% by 9 am but we love the quiet, non-crowded entry.
