Wondering if they are pretty good with early check~in at the cabins and the earluest anyone has checked in? Looks like we will be there a bit earler then expected.
Thanks a bunch!

If your cabin is ready when you check in, they will allow you to check in. Otherwise they will go through the paper work, give you a card with a phone number on it to call later, and direct you to the overflow lot where you can leave your vehicle, then take a bus anyplace you want to go. Call the number later and if your cabin is ready, they will give you the site number. The earliest we checked in was 9 am for a campsite, normal check in for campsites is 1pm. We didn't get our site, however, until 11am. We took the bus to the settlement, then the boat to WL where we had an early lunch.

When we were there in Aug we stayed at the WL the first night before camping. We called about 8:30 about when we could check in and our site was ready. Even if it wasn't we were still going to check in while it was pretty quiet.

Last time we checked in about 9:30am and the site was ready. It just depends on if you're going during a busy time. It also helped that we had canceled the previous night, and less than likely they would have sold that one night.
But in anycase, there's plenty to do in the mean time. But if you're site isn't ready when you get there, don't spend the entire day at the park before setting up camp. One if you're driving a camper, it probably won't be easy pulling one of those suckers in in the dark. Two it's not easy setting up a tent in the middle of the night. And thirdly you'll be dead tired.
We made the horrible mistake of going to epcot after walking the dog in the afternoon and being there during EMH. We were setting up camp at about 1-2am in the rain, and then the blankets in the truck bed were wet and Kari had to watch the dryer and change out the blankets to get them all dry on 2$.

We have experienced early check-in delight throughout the WDW Resorts. Typically we arrive at WDW by 7:15AM to 7:40AM and have often received our room or site keys at that time and quickly settle in.

This past hurricane season I called FW about a very early check-in since our area was getting ready for a possible hit by Hurricane Wilma. Evacuations were starting and I wanted to get out before the roads got too crowded so we left our house at 2:00AM and got to FW at 4:35AM. Turns out our site was available so they allowed us to go to it. We were very quiet as we backed in and after shutting down we went back to sleep for a few hours.

Normally I don't think we would have been able to get to our site that early but they were great about accommodating us during this day.
