Earl of Sandwich Opening in NYC - 2011

I was in Times Square and I saw a giant billboard announcing Earl of Sandwich would be coming there in 2011. The billboard was on the corner of 45th & Broadway, above Planet Hollywood.

I wonder if they might be affiliated with Planet Hollywood somehow...there's an EoS in the PH in Vegas. That was probably the best surprise of my last trip there, discovering there was an Earl close by.

no, you're not the only one! We ate there once after it opened at DTD and were under whelmed.

we saw the sign at Times Square this weekend too. Only registered because of the connection to Disney. I agree, there as sooooo many great places to eat in NYC - this one won't be on my list of places to get to!

We didn't care for EOS, but I'm not surprised one is opening in Times Square. It's tourist central and will probably do very well there.

I read your post wrong. I thought it was going in over planet Hollywood and got all excited as that is definitely walking distance for me as I'm at 48 and 6. Wonder where its going to be.

I will be in Vegas over Halloween weekend and in WDW the following weekend...2 trips to Earl of Sandwich within a week. I wish there were more locations!

I agree. I like Earl's, but it's not better than a great NYC deli sandwich.

With so many great deli's (esp. in the vicinity) I can't get excited about EOS in Times Square. If I'm in the city last thing I want is chain food. For what it costs for EOS sandwich you could get much better a block or so away.

I don't even like them in DTD.

I am so glad you said this. I was just shaking my head reading this knowing the MANY amazing original and family delis NYC has (in almost every neighborhood), yet someone is excited over a new chain restaurant? I just don't get it.

Lol not every neighborhood has a Katz's deli you know. And NYC does not have "MANY amazing" delis...they have 10 great ones tops. The rest all taste the same.
