Earl of Sandwich Club Change?

I just signed myself up for the Earl Of Sandwich Club, ok-mostly for the free sandwich benefit, and when I got the email, I noticed that the offer was now for a free soda and chips with purchase of any sandwich...

Does anyone know when that changed? It was one of the most frequently suggested ways to 'save money' in the online community. Does anyone know what the coupon offer is for birthdays?

My birthday was last month, and the free sandwich coupon was still the same as it always is. I think it's just the sign-up offer that changes.

I think the free sign-up offer changes from time to time. When my oldest son was old enough to sign up for Earl, he got the sandwich offer. When my younger son hit age 13 and signed up, he was sent a coupon for a free brownie. Still those were both total freebies. A free with purchase offer isn't as cool. From a business perspective though, I can see how the freebie offer might have been getting just a little too popular.

Sounds right. When we signed up a couple years ago we got coupons for free brownies.

Hmm that's not the best incentive for signing up. When I signed up it was for a free brownie. However, in the last few months they have offered some good coupons like $4.95/$5.95 for sandwich, chips and drink. The birthday incentive has continued to be a sandwich.

How long do you have to use the birthday coupon? We will be there 21 days after my birthday. My birthday is in November and we will be there in December.

I just signed up yesterday hoping for a free sandwich, but I got a coupon for free chips and drink if you buy a sandwich. I don't usually eat chips or drink soda, so I am disappointed. I will still try it though!

I think you get your free sandwich coupon during the month of your birthday the other is a free gift you get for signing up

I received mine one week before my birthday last year, and it expired 30 days later.

Same here. My birthday was last month, The email arrived exactly 7 days before my birthday, and it was good for a month from that date. It was the offer for a "free sandwich, salad or wrap."

I wonder if you get the sandwich offer once you've proven yourself loyal to the Earl, and the brownie the first year? Or maybe you're "grandfathered in" for the sandwich deal?

I just checked for my hubby's birthday offer and it is for a free brownie WITH PURCHASE of a sandwich, salad, or wrap. And that they'll check ID and that it's non transferable, etc.

So I'm guessing this is the new deal offered after tons of people read their 'secret' online and abused the old deal. No big deal, I will still collect it! :D We leave on Saturday and I have most of my coupons printed, 15% off Pizza Press, 10% off IHOP, 10% off McDonald's all from the Anaheim tourism bureau! Birthday coupon from Patina and reservation booked at Via Napoli! We are celebrating my hubby's birthday, so if anyone knows about any other birthday related coupons, feel free to let me know!

Has anyone used the Patina restaurants coupon lately? 30.00 off your meal of 30.00 or more? I forgot to note it in my reservation when I made it online, and it says in the fine print that "you must mention this offer at time of booking". Just wondering if anyone knows if it truly matters and I should call them to have a note made, or if I can mention it when we check in.

Does your husband belong to My Starbucks Rewards (usually you can register a gift card there, and you get a free food or drink item on your birthday)? What about the Jamba Juice Insider Rewards? You get a free smoothie or juice on your birthday (with a bit of time to use it). Both of those are in Downtown Disney. Does your husband belong to IHOP's Pancake Revolution club? Free pancakes on your birthday.

Perfect! I will sign him up for those! I'm sure he'll be pleased with his upcoming role in the Pancake Revolution! Thanks so much!

You're welcome!

Last month on Facebook I was posting updates on my "birthday crawl." I was claiming as many birthday freebies as I could get my hands on over the course of a week, and posting photos of them as I claimed them. Unfortunately, a lot of the places don't have locations in Downtown Disney or even in Anaheim, but I collected a lot of free goodies!

Wanted to update. I got my birthday offer recently and it is just for a brownie with "sandwich, salad, or warp purchase". Oh well. The free sandwiches were great while they lasted.

Now, after I've been signed up for a while they have started emailing free sandwich with purchase coupons! They also send a lot of emails advertising their catering...
