I was just wondering about the Sandwich Earl Place in DD. My family and I have never eaten there and we were just wondering is it good or not.

I agree Sandwiches good, potato salad bad!

Best value at Disney. You get filled and leave with money in your wallet!

You have to try the meatball sandwich(I think it was called a cannonball).

Very good, better than Quiznos/Subway, and surprisingly cheap, at least by theme park standards.

We went to the EOS "3" times just this past week. It is really good. We have only had the club, and the all american-but they were awesome. And have you checked out the cost? you will not spend a better $4.95 at any Disney location! My picky eater enjoyed this place. The atmosphere, price, and great taste took us back 3 times in 8 days. The potato salad is different, but not bad. It has red skin potato, mayo, dijon mustard, and dill..so it's not your normal potato salad-but still a good taste if this is your bag. Definately go, give it a try..and if for some insane reason you dont like it...it's only a $4.95 lost. Trust me on this one. :thumbsup2

While it is low cost food option, DH and I were not at all impressed with EOS. I had read all they hype and talked it up so much but we were both very disappointed. We both said that we doubted that we would go back :sad2:

It is a wonderful break from greasy fried food! We love it!!!

It is one of my 11 year old daughter's favorite places to eat, anywhere. The basic roast beef sandwich on a toasted roll with cheese is great and a terrific bargain.

Love the Earl!!! Our favorite counter service in all of WDW! DD and I usually get the Hawaiian BBQ and the Chicken Florentine and split them, but last Dec. they had a Shrimp Club that was delish. *not on the menu, daily special*

We've tried the potato salad and liked it, but it seemed to have horseradish when we got it. I guess if you don't like that strong, peppery taste, that might put people off. We usually get gourmet chips, and of course Earl's Grey Lemonade - a mixture of Earl Grey Tea and lemonade, very good.

I really liked EOS. I can't remember what I had, but whatever it was, it was good! I wish I had one near me!

Food was good. CMs and Managers rude. (was there one of these days Dec 23 05 - Jan 2 06)So I know they were busy but still with how rude they were we will not be going back

Didn't do it for us(I had the club after reading all the hype...) It was good but not great by a long shot. imho. Maybe we were there on an off day. My dh loved what he got though

EOS is good fast food and that about it. You will probably read here people using the word "awesome" and "fantastic". I can't see why. They are good sandwichs but certainly not worth making a special trip to DTD for. Whatever you do, stay away at lunch time. The place is growded and tables are hard to find..smjj

If you are going to DTD anyway then it is very good (don't let that horrifically long line fool you. It moves fast) but I would not make a special trip.

My DH and I went there in May and we both got salads. I had the Chinese Chicken and I can't remember what my DH had. I loved my salad and so did my DH. The down side to it was the rude CMs. I would like to go back for the salad, but wonder if I really will go back since I didn't get the Disney feeling because of the rude CMs.

I think it is good, but I wouldn't make a special trip to eat there or anything. :teeth:

We actually did take out from there and loved it!! Sandwich options were plentiful and very, very fresh & tasty. Didn't try the potato salad - but we sampled 3 different sandwiches - all great! A wonderful alternative to the standard, on the fly, burgers, nuggets and salads. Try it, I think you'll like it.

Went there last June and we all loved the sandwiches we got. My sister and cousin shared one, then ended up getting a second sandwich to share. I had the Beef and Bleu which was great and I got a side salad, which was only $.99 and was a nice size for that price.

My DH, DD(18) and I just loved Earl of Sandwich! We thought it was very reasonable (for Disney Standards) for what you got. I know I had tuna - enjoyed the meal so much we went back. Can't wait to go again this spring & summer when we're in WDW. We're not potato salad people, but liked the chips! You should try it at least once! :mickeybar
