First let me start by saying almost every MAN and WOMAN in my family has their ear/ears pierced. For some reason we all are into that!
I had mine pierced at 4mo, and so did my sisters. My DD had them pierced at 6mo. Her pediatrician did it. She didn't even cry. She just looked at me like "what the heck was that?" She showed no signs of discomfort and lokked so adorable. For us it wasn't even a question to do it.
Now I also must add that I am someone who had other body parts pierced, including my tongue so maybe mine isn't an opinion you want!!LOL!!
Also my father took my sister back in the 80's to get multiple piercings in her ears and came back with one himeself!!
And I must say, WOW to those who think 10yrs old and 13yrs old is an appropiate age. I also think it is a cultural thing. We are Spanish and you will almost always see a Puerto Rican baby with pierced ears!!
