Eagle Cam w/ 3 eggs

This is my local botanical garden. It's a live cam of 2 Bald Eagles and they have a nest with 3 eggs that will be hatching any day.

This is so cool. I just put the link on my favorites so that I can check up on the nest every so often. I also like the "highlight" videos that they have showing things like the mother laying the egg, or when the father eagle saw the egg for the first time. Very neat.

One egg hatched about an hour ago. We are waiting for the male to return and feed the eaglet.

Sometimes it's like watching paint dry however a few minutes ago the mother got up for no reason and we got a look of the eaglet, the zoomed in the camera and we could see it raise it's head and fall back down. It was about 2 minutes of the little eaglet. We kind of have the cam running in the background while I surf and if I see movement I watch. It's been fascinating and the chat with the moderators I have learned so much about eagles.

I was in the garden on the day when one of the eggs were laid and one of the eagles flew right over me head. Seeing one that close was awesome.

I have to remember to watch the Channel 13 tomorrow for the noon news. LaSalle (the anchor) will be all over the story about the hatching.

It is very cool, but I always crack up a little about how much air time that pair of eagles receives on the local news.

No new hatching today but perhaps tomorrow! You get to really see the eaglet when they eagles are feeding it.

cool! I am watching right now and there is all kind of jockeying for position. One little guy woke up, stretched, nuzzled his sibling until they started waking up and then the 1st guy settled down and went back to sleep! Typical sib behavior! lol! so very cute! They look so soft, I'd love to touch one. Now hatchling #1 is back up, poking around. The one seems more co-ordinated than the other. Brrr, they must be cold, where's momma eagle?
