Eager to spend time on Main Street!

It's long been a desire of mine to spend a morning in Main Street USA, meandering and taking it all in. To study the windows and find the quiet spots while everyone is bustling to SDMT. During my next trip I think I'm going to leave my sleeping teens and sneak away to the Magic Kingdom to meet the Citizens of Main Street and to watch the Trolley Show. And I just learned of the Main Street Philharmonic Band. Have you spent quality time on Main Street USA?

My husband and I have our first adults-only trip this October, and he surprised me by mentioning he wants to do the same exact thing...more time on Main Street! Can't wait!

Watch what day you go if you want to hear Phil Har as they will not be there on a Friday or Saturday.

Love theMain Street entertainment. Be sure to check out the "hidden" touches. In the hat shop, there's an old phone you can pubs up and listen in on a conversation. Facing the castle, about half way down MSon your right, there's an alley with sketch and silhouette booths. You can listen to the conversations of citizens "living" and "working" in the "upper stories." Also, go back in the late afternoon for the flag retreat-- one of the best events at MK, in my opinion.

I have really enjoyed spending time on Main Street. You can still do rope drop to catch some rides, but then take one of the Main Street vehicles back from the castle hub. I love the view of things from the top of the double decker bus. Engage the drivers in conversation. They love their jobs and love to chat. Meet some characters in the Town Square hub. Grab a breakfast snack and sit on the curb watching people hustle by.

We love to do that! We wander through the shops, stop to look at the little things, grab a pastry and just relax. It's a very nice start to what usually ends up a hectic day, and a nice way to wind down at night. That said, I'm not sure my wallet is as big a fan of it as we are!

I like to grab Starbucks, sit at the tables outside of the Ice Cream shop, and people watch

Yes, love it. There is so much to see and do. We love looking at the windows in the upper levels. My DH has read all a ton on Walt, including bios, and he knows the inside scoop on the names posted, so that is always interesting. And we love that little dead end alley halfway down Main Street (does it even have a name?) for a little break in the day. We grab a cool drink, a snack, and just sit on the curb, soaking it in. And, if we're lucky, we catch some of the glass blowing in that little shop. Last time we were there, we watched the blower thing to create a poison apple for someone. It was fascinating.
