I'm getting ready to buy my tickets and would love to just print them. But it says you just print it, the sample is the 8x11 Tinkerbell sheet, and take it to the main gate. How can I use this giant ticket to get fastpasses?

When you take your E Ticket to the entrance gate, they will give you a standard size ticket that you will be able to use in the fastpass machine. No worries.

So I take it to the place I would normally buy tickets or I take it to the turnstyle?

You take it to the turnstile. They will give you you regular tickets there. :)

Take the E-tickets directly to the turnstyles. When you enter they scan the bar code on the E-ticket and hand you your park ticket in exchange.

Everyone above is correct. I get e-tickets whenever we have visitors, and it is very easy to use them to get into the parks and get the "regular" ticket that you can use to get fastpasses.

Have a great time. :)

From Terms & Conditions at bottom of purchase tickets page....

Each Disney's eTicket printed confirmation allows one entry at a Disneyland® theme park turnstile. Upon entry, the Guest will be provided with a standard theme park ticket for use for the applicable purchased days. Disney is not responsible for any loss or inconvenience caused by computer error, or unauthorized duplication or sale of Disney's eTicket. In the event that duplicate Disney's eTicket are presented for theme park admission, Disneyland® Resort reserves the right to refuse entry.

I'm glad someone asked! I have been thinking I am going to pre-purchase our tickets as well- but we like to scrapbook our tickets and I wasn't looking forward to using a crumpled full page printed "ticket". Glad to hear we will get normal sized ones!

Thanks everyone! This is very good news as I can wait until I get the rest of my rewards credited on my Disney Visa instead of being in a rush so I can get the tickets sent to me.

29 days and counting....

I always buy my tickets on the website and print them out.... one tip that I have done, is print out a second set/copy, and keep that in a safe place as proof of purchase, just in case something happens to the ticket they issue you.

It serves as your receipt at City Hall if something were to happen.... say your DS were to accidentally toss his 5 day pass into the garbage with his hot dog wrapper thinking it was an old FP.... this happened to me and boy was I glad I had that extra copy!!

And we now always carry his ticket for him, even though this was many years ago and he is now 15!!
;)

Here's another tip.

Many people miss the step where you get a second email with your e-tickets to print out. They print out the receipt instead and go to the turnstyles only to find out they didn't bring their tickets - so..

make sure you get a second email and print out and bring the correct thing, or you'll end up in line at the booths trying to correct the problem and will have not saved any time.

I just purchased ETickets a few days ago and I only received 1 email which contained confermation and had Attached Tickets that could be printed.
The confermation email has full instructions about how to print and how to use the eticket. Can't wait!!
