E-sig closing?

It’s been a few years since my direct purchase. That contract was financed so I know docs needed to be printed signed and notarized. I am considering a cash direct add-on. I know contracts are now e-sig but what about closing docs? Last year I completed a few resale cash purchases in which they were all e-sig start to finish including closing which was so easy with no hastle. Anyone know if direct is now the same?

thanks for your input!

Just closed on a small direct in Jan - it was all E-Sig

If they require notarized documents many places you can still do electronic signature now these days. So if they outline you need a notary look up electronic notaries.

We purchased today direct at RIV and got all the closing paperwork a few hours ago. Everything was e-sign besides one document that needs to be notarized. Disney provided us with a link for a free notary that works over zoom and we set up an appt a few days from now to do that.

I believe resale sellers are the only American parties that need to physically sign things these days.

I bought Aulani direct (paid cash) and a notary was required due to Hawaii requirements.

I bought GFV and also need to notarize. When I went to their link to schedule online notarization, the earliest appointment was March14! I’d really like to have this done sooner.

There are lots of other online notaries in NJ that say they are accepted in all 50 states. Can I use one of those?

Alternately, can I just stop at the bank and have them notarize? Then mail the documents? What would be the address? In the past I’ve had a prepaid FEDEX envelope so don’t even remember where I sent past documents.

TIA :flower3:

If you call quality assurance, they may be able to get you in faster. I did mine the next business day a few months ago. I'd imagine they are busy right now with all the GFV contracts though.

We bought direct on March 2nd and all of the closing docs were signed by e-sig that day. We scheduled a Zoom notary for tomorrow, March 8 which was then the earliest date.

We were also given the option to print and notarize the docs and they would send a prepaid overnight label to ship the notarized docs to them.

Not sure what the current earliest zoom notary availabilty is since the VGF2 boom on March 3rd...

Thanks! That’s what I did though I was a little afraid since you can’t reach an actual human being right now… they’re asking you to leave a message. But I got a call back in about an hour and they emailed me a prepaid FedEx label. Went to the bank got everything notarized and popped it in the FedEx box.

I think I should be good now… fingers crossed lol

Thanks for your help:flower3:

That sounds about right. The earliest I could get was the 14th. In talking to my guide, I imagine everyone at DVC is swamped. He told me his fingers hurt from typing so much! Lol
