We will be arriving on May 30 at 4 pm. we had thought about tryin to get e-ride tickets for that night. My question is would it be worth using a day off our tickets just to go to the e-night and would I even be able to get the e tickets that late in the day? Also how exactly does the e-night work? Do they empty the park of all guest and then let you back in or do they just let you stay in while everyone else leaves?
Oh yeah, where do you get the e tickets and can you get them in advance? Thanks

E Night Tickets can be purchased at the front desk of the hotel you're staying at. Only Disney Resort guests can purchase E Tickets. I did E Night Rides last year and Magic Kingdom doesn't close. After 4pm in the Magic Kingom there are stations set up for you to exchange your E Ticket for a bracelet. (A white band that you must wear on your wrist.) If closing time is let's say, 10 pm, guests not having a wrist band will have to exit the park. The CM's at all the attrations, will check your wrist for the white band. If you don't have one, they make you leave the park. Or at least you can't ride anything.

E Ticket is NOT a substitution for park admission. You will need park admission to the Magic Kingdom that day as well as you E Ticket. When I went out E Tickets were $12 per ticket. You can wait until the night of E Night Rides to buy your tickets, but do be aware that in the past E Night Rides sometimes sells out. This doesn't happen to often though.

Hope this helps,

Can you do E-Ride Night on the day you check out?

I would not waste a whole day admission on an E-ticket. If you are using the ticket at a park, and then want to buy E-ticket, this is a great deal.

The only problem I thought about e-ride is that if there is a long line for a ride and the park closes, the CMs don't make anyone get off the lines. So there may be a long line when e-ride starts.

Did anyone else experience this?

Walt Disney World's policy is that as long as the guests are in line by the closing time of the attractions, they can ride. I think its a pretty fair policy. :) We didn't really experience this during E-Ride night, thankfully. :)

Our experience at E-Ride (albeit one) was go on the rides with the shorter or no-lineups such as TTA and Buzz and Country Jamboree - this allows for the non E-Ride guests to ride and leave and then head for BTMRR and Splash Mtn then finish off with Buzz again and Space Mtn - finally have a good gaze at Cindy's Castle, the characters out and around and the people.

Thanks

You are not required to leave the park if you don't have a wristband for E-Night. You just can't enter any attractions.

I agree.

I would not waste a days admission just to go to E-ride nights. E-rides are awesome, for example, we did Splash Mountain 7 times in a row, and never got out of the log! But, as stated, you have to have spent the day in a park to go to E-ride, so it is not worth it to waste a days admission just to do E-rides.

We go in August, and E-ride nights are usually offered 2-3 times per week. I would try to find out what other night they are available when you will be there. IF there is no other night, I would skip it because if you get to the MK at 4:00 p.m. you are not maxing our your buck for the day.

You have to stay in a park resort and buy a minimum 4 day hopper pass to purchase E-rides. Last summer they were about 12 dollars and well worth the extra 3 hours in the park. Rides open are Splash Mountain, Thunder Mountain, Country Bear Jamobore, Haunted Mansion, Space Mountain, Orbitor, Buzz Lightyear, Extra Terrestrial, and the rocket ships. THere might be a small wait, but usually not more than 5 minutes. Depends on the weather too. One time we went in the rain and there was no one there. IT was great!

I always buy my E-ride ticket when I check in at the hotel, so I know that we have them. Then, usually we go to Animal Kingdom on the day we do e-rides. Sleep in and get to AK about 10:30 a.m. and we can finish Animal Kingdom by 3-4:00 and go back to the hotel to rest up. THen, we get to MK about 8:30 to get past the fireworks crowd, get our wrist bands as soon as we enter the park and then head over to either splash or spash mountain, watch some of the fire works, and then we are in a great postion to start e-rides. E-rides start at 10:00 p.m. in AUgust and go to 1:00 a.m.

Sometimes, we do e-rides more than one time in a week. THey are so worth it! Anyone can stay in the park during E-rides, but only those with wrist bands can ride.

Bob NC,

You quoted me saying:

Diznee25 "If closing time is let's say, 10 pm, guests not having a wrist band will have to exit the park. The CM's at all the attrations, will check your wrist for the white band. If you don't have one, they make you leave the park. "

The next sentence I wrote after that was, "Or at least you can't go on any rides." ;)

if you were prepared to go straight to the MK, getting there by 5, and e-ride didn't start till 10, i would say it was well worth a day's admission. Our e-ride experience was the most magical part of our visit. We got to ride the big attractions over and over, and were basically the last ones out of the park--after we shut down splash mountain. We felt like we had the walkway and the Kiss Goodnight all to ourselves.

If it's your only chance for an E-Ride, I would go for it

You might want to wait on this decision until June hours come out. There may be a couple of E-nights the first week of June, and I assume you will still be there. Diana

We closed down space mountain, most of the cm's who operate the ride rode the last ride of the night with us.

seeing the castle at night with out the crowds was fabulous.

We stopped for ice cream on the way out and sat at an outdoors table on main street eating ice cream & watching the castle change colors. I learned that in JULY to next time get my ice cream in a bowl! LOL...we had ice cream running down our arms, made for a sticky situation and i ended up throwing half of this very expensive ice cream away.

One word of caution, do not wait too long to leave the park. they had vans in the parking lot to take you to your car. there was only 6 other people waiting out there with us, a man and woman was the only others parked in our lot, was a strange feeling driving thru these huge empty lots then seeing your car parked way out there. (they did drop us off right at our car) Would of been very hard to find the car if we would of had to walk to find it, We would of takin the resort bus and come back to get the car next day.

I should add that before we got the ice cream we took a long time taking pictures of the castle and waiting our turn to take pictures of us with the walt and mickey statues.
and we just took along time walking down main street and enjoying the park with almost no people in it.

please don't let my word of caution scare you away from e-night....it is so worth it, it is one of the best memories that we have of the trip.
