E Ride dates for June and July

I always thought the Tuesday would be less crowded than the Friday, but I have always been wrong. If I have a choice I will take a Friday the next time. Locals can only get E-night tickets if they are staying on sight. You have to purchase your tickets after you check in at your resort, they can not be purchased in advance over the phone.

You know, I personally don't think this E-ride thing is that great. My kids don't enjoy most of the "big" rides and they are the only ones open on E-night. So, for me, what E-nights mean is that the park closes earlier. A big bummer as for as I'm concerned.

Someone asked a while back if they have fireworks or spectro on e-nights....anyone know the answer to this?

We went to MNSSHP and thought it was great but that was because EVERYTHING was up and running. If that was the case with E-Nights I was buy tickets in a heartbeat!

One last question....tuesday 6/3 is our planned MK day...do you think it will be more or less crowded during regular hours with it being an e-night?

:( Only 1 night while we are there and we'll be at HDD show that night.

Spectro and fireworks during erides? somebody answer please.

I agree. E-ride night is a big bummer for us too. This year we are going in summer for the first time. I was looking forward to being at MK after dark. Guess they'll run all of us who do not wish to ay an extra $12 out of the park. Too bad $50 isn't enough to rate a full day anymore:rolleyes:
To the person who asked whether the pattern would continue: I would expect to see lots and lots of e-ride nights from now on. This is a huge cash cow for WDW -kick out paying guests and accomodate only those who would like to fork over extra $$$$$. I know I am in the minority, but I think e-ride nights are just hateful -a shameless money grab by the Mouse. Closing MK at 7:00 in the summer exposes e-ride night for what it is.
What really aggravates me is that I'll have to pay full ticket during my upcoming visit, yet attractions like Pooh and GMR will be down. Closing MK at 7pm two of the four nights we are there is just salt in the wound.
I'm sure we'll still have a wondeful vacation, but jeez Disney, do you want us to come back or not??? How many corners can you cut before families like mine say its not owrth it anymore?

Can anyone answer the question about fireworks and parades during E-nights?

The last time we were there for an E-Night there were fireworks but I think they were regularly scheduled.

Thanks for the reply

In June, last year, we had spectro, and FW before our E-Night but the park closed at 10 and then E-Night started. I don't think they have FW just for the E-Night if the park closes earlier. This June I guess we have to do E-Night on the 17th just to make it to regular closing time last year.

I agree with Zippa. The last time we were at DW there wasn't any E night and MK stayed open until midnight (July) and it was still hopping. I am very surprised to see the parks close so early in the summer. I hope the resort pools remain open later or its off to bed nice and early!

I agree with the other posters' complaints about closing MK at 7:00 p.m. We've been going to WDW this same week for nearly 10 years--never have I seen the MK close this early! In fact, I've never seen a day when there were no FITS fireworks either. According to the calendar on the main DIS pages, there will be no FITS or Spectromagic parade the entire month? The "official" WDW page indicates Saturday & Wednesday for FITS and Spectro.

I realize that Disney constantly changes times and schedules to accommodate the guests--I guess we'll just have to hope that this is changed and we'll get some longer hours and additional Spectro/FITS showings.

I also agree about E-night. We did it a couple of times and then decided it just wasn't worth it. The last time we went SM went down and wait times were longer than you would expect on the other rides. Frankly, when E-night began at 9:00 ir 10:00 p.m. (on a Tuesday--never went on Friday) it made for one long day. Now it looks as if we'll have to cough up some more $$$ for the five of us to get an evening experience OR we wait until Saturday and fight the masses. Neither option seems worthwhile--guess we'll be headed to PI for some comedy at AC or CC because I won't be a contributor to the "cash cow".

Very disappointing to say the least. . .

I hope these dates all stay. I for one love e-night. Since I can't go during off season anymore this is the only way we can ride the biggies over and over with very little waits. I have no problem paying a little extra in order to do this.

We only did e-nite once. My kids were only 5 and 8, but they love the big rides. It is worth and extra $50.00 to be with only 5,000 at MK. There really were hardly any people walking around the park. It was nice not having to be in commando mode and trying to navigate around people and strollers.

For the poster who said their kids were too young - they won't be forever!! They'll be riding those rides before you know it. This is my DD10's fifth trip. It makes me kind of sad that she's so old because I know that the CM's and characters won't pay much attention to her. And rightfully so, I guess, the little ones are just too cute :D

Skip E Night and just keep the parks open. Next they will open later and charge for E Entry.

If I were planning a trip for summer 2004 I'd go ahead and add about $40 per day for a family of four to qualify for EMH. Given how the majority of folks are delirious over e-ride nights, you can count on our friends at Disney to milk all th cash out of this they can.

Early guess on June 2004 hours:
MK 11am-7pm (EMH 8am until 11am -$10 extra; e-ride $12 extra)

Maybe you can pay extra for an express fast pass. Sorry. Maybe I need some pixie dust today.

OK, I for one think it has nothing to do with age. My kids are 7 & 10{they're not too young} and there's DH & I too. Most of our crowd does not care for the thrill rides at all. Sometimes DD & I will do Splash or Space Mountain but that's not the sole reason we go to Disney.

I would gladly pay the extra $12 a head if the whole park would remain open just for resort guests. It would be worth it to have smaller crowds, etc. But if it's just the thrill rides....we have no interest....nor will we as they get any older.

Bring back the late hours! Many times...even when the kids were quite young....we would open and close the MK at 10 or 11 or midnight. I want to see those hours again!

And, I don't care much whether they have fireworks or not but how about an evening parade-I guess that's Spectro- showing every night? What is this with once a week to drag everybody in on that day and make it miserable for all concerned.
