We have been to MK millions of times but never on an e-ride night. This June we will be lucky? enough to do one. Questions abound:
1. How crowded do these e-ride night get?
2. Is it only for resort guest and pass holders?
3. Isit worth it.
4. How are the bus crowds after the parks close? In april we waited 45 minutes for a bus to POP.
5. Any specific tips or anything that I would need to know?

I will be traveling alone with my 5yr old. We are both nightowls and would rather stay up late than get up early.

Thank You!!!

I'll give your questions a try.
We attended our first e-night in June of 2002. It was fabulous! We didn't leave until 12:45am. Our bus to the Yacht Club was (if I remember correctly) pretty good. I don't know if too many people stay until the end (it ended at 1am when we went) so I'm not sure about the buses then.
Last June it was jammed!!!!! We really did not enjoy it. This was a Tuesday night. I read that the Friday night e-night that same week was much less crowded. Can't figure out why.
It is only for Disney resort guests. You buy the e-night tickets at your resort. They start selling them something like 3 days before.
You then turn your ticket in before e-night starts at various locations in the MK for a wrist band.
As I said, last June was SO crowded we left pretty early. The year before it was definitely worth it.
What we do is get to the MK before the fireworks and set up to start riding as soon as e-night starts. In 2002 we sat outside Tomorrowland in an eating area and watched the fireworks. Then headed right over to Buzz. Last year we skipped the fireworks and got right on Buzz with no wait before e-night started. We rode again right away but by then the line was growing.
IF it is not jammed it is certainly worth the cost. Also, it's much better at night without the sun beating down on you.
It's kind of nice walking in front of the castle with very few people around. Since Fantasyland is closed during e-night most people split either left or right leaving the area in front of the castle pretty quiet.

We went in I think Aug 01' and it was great, walked on everyride, no wait, splash mtn was fun, just before the drop the castle looks really cool.
They did not have it in May 02', and we were disapointed. Planning to go this July.
The bus back to the YC was fine, but we left about 1/2 hour early(we were wore out).
I thouhgt it was well worth it.
