It seems that in the past I have heard it was advisible to e-mail the resort a few days before arriving with any requests you might have. Have you done this before? We will be staying at POFQ. Does anyone have an e-mail address for POFQ?

I have never heard of emailing requests but some people fax their requests to the resorts. Really, you don't need to do that either. Just make the requests with CRO on the reservation and that will work.

Last year I faxed our room request to POLY and we were lucky enough to get exactly what we requested. But somewhere on these boards in the past few months I read that all of the resorts had stopped taking faxes and emails for requests and everything had to be requested through central reservations. I can't find that thread right now, though.

Anyway, the phone number is for POFQ is 1-407-934-5000 adn the fax number is 1-407-934-5353.

eeyoresmountainpals, do you still have the numbers for the poly, we'll be heading there is aug. :flower:

BostonTink85 ~ Sure do!!

The phone number is 407-824-2000, and the fax number is 407-824-3174.

And here's the link to the AllEarsNet fact sheet about the POLY ----

If you haven't yet looked around the AllEarsNet site I highly recommend it. (I love it! Second to DisBoards, of course!! :goodvibes )

Actually, you want to make sure that the requests are on your original reservation. This is what the room assignors look at. Allears has reported that the WL verified that they no longer look at faxed requests and there seems to be many other resorts who are following suit. I would say that provided you have already added your requests to your reservation, it doesn't hurt to follow up with a fax. That way if it does end up being thrown away, the room assigning staff will at least have seen it noted on your reservation.

Only concierge level guests are able to communicate with the resort via e-mail prior to arrival.
