I saw this photo posted on the Theme parks board. The photo was posted by dznefreek. I thought it looked cool.

2 guys! I wonder who they are and are they the first actual people riders. Up untill now it had been just those water dummies I had thought.

They have been testing the ride for a long time now. This is the first test of the ride wioth humans on board. Guest testing is still a long way away.

I am not sure whether to thank you for this picture or not. It is clearly an awesome photo, but now I CANT WAIT TO RIDE IT!!!! :bounce:

What I really want to know though....

WHY ARE THEY NOT IN THE FRONT ROW!

FRONT ROW? WHY ARE THEY NOT IN THE BACK ROW? A couple of wimps. That's the only explanation

We overheard a CM explaining how they originally designed and tested Soarin and he said the Imagineers rode each seat multiple times to make sure the experience was great in each seat. I would imagine they do the same for all the rides to ensure the effects work for every seat.

Great photo. I actually read in the Disney Insider that Joe Rohde (not sure I spelled his name right....everyone knows him as the Imagineer with the really big earing...kinda looks like a pirate) said that they were testing the ride with different sizes of buckets of water to simulate the weight of different people. It must be pretty cool to say that you were the very first person to ride on a new attraction, although kind of scary when it actually happened.

That drop looks kinda steep in the photo. I haven't seen it in person.

Any idea of just how intense this ride will be?

From everything I've read I'd say a step up from BTMRR. You do know you go backwards as well?

I'm hoping the backwards part of the attraction proves to be significant and unique. We knew in advance that Revenge of the Mummy was to have a backwards portion. Although it comes as a big surprise the first time you ride, it is very brief.

Hi murphy. Everytime I see that picture it cracks me up. Here is a caption for it

Murphy: Oh no, you've been in the tuna again tuna breath!

Cat: Watch it buster or next time I'll add a clove of garlic!!

Well, I have no hopes of it opening for my early Jan. trip, but I will certainly check it out up close when I am there!

Thanks for the pictures, I missed that on the Theme parks board. I can't wait for EE. I'm hoping to be able to go for the AP soft openings in Feb.
