After being dissapointed when our original cruise was cancelled 11/30/2002, we were finally on our way. Living in Orlando we drove to Cape Canaveral and beat all of the Disney busses putting us 4th family in line for embarking. Waiting in line we met a couple from Tampa (we'll be friends for life). So here we are my BF, DD14, DS7 and now our friends with there DD7. No problems getting reservations no problems with our rooms. We are really sailing this time.
DD14 was not so thrilled with the Common Grounds, I do have to say everytime I went in to see what she was up to, the Counselor was asleep in the chair and no kids in sight. She did finally make some friends and they just had there own fun, they would do some of the teen activities but only a few of them.
My son and my new friends daughter also was not fond of the Oceaneer's Club, they being 71/2 and the age limit is 5-7 so all of the screaming 5 year olds got on there nerves. We would only take them when they had a movie or they were doing an activity (flubber) ect.
Us adults really enjoyed skipping dinner most nights and taking advantage of an empty ship. We don't mind eating chicken strips, hamburgers. There was one thing that we could not have lived without, our veranda was that the best thing ever. The kids would sit and watch Disney channel and we would be in our own little piece of heaven. cont..................
