I recently listed, and sold, an unopened bottle of aftershave which I sent to the buyer, via recorded delivery (sign on receipt or, if not in, collect from local post office).
It was returned to me today as not having been collected (the post office keep for 2 weeks before returning to sender)
Now, I e-mailed the buyer and he asked if I could please send again as he had been ill and could not collect.
There was no mention of postage in his email and I feel loathe to ask but I have obviously already paid our around £3 to post this thing in the first place, along with EBay and PayPal fees.
What would you do?
I feel really mean asking for further postage but don't want to have sold the aftershave for no profit!
Thank you for any help.

I would say that it was his fault it was not received; you have proof that it was at his destination Post Office and unclaimed. You are out the postage, and he will have to pay the postage again.

If he should ask for a refund, I would give a partial refund. I would not return the cost of shipment or any eBay fees, both original listing and sale. If payment was via PayPal I would also not refund the PayPal fees. I would also hold back about 10% additional for the aggrevation.

He should deffiently send additional postage for it to be resent.
I agree. It is not your fault that he didn't claim the item. If he still wants it, he needs to pay for it to be reshipped.
