I know most of you have way more e-bay experience than I do, so I decided to ask my Disfriends to help me. :goodvibes

I registered for e-bay and placed my very first bid last night...which I won! (All to get my $5 from QR...and a Disney pin)

I went to Auctiva (through a confirmation letter I was sent) to pay with my CC, which the seller said she took, and got the following message: Error 103-The seller does not have a merchant account to accept credit card payment.

I e-mailed the seller on how to proceed and have heard nothing :confused3 . What should I do? I'm new to e-bay...can't I get a bad review as a buyer?

just email the seller. If they are a good seller you'll be able to work it out. Some sellers don't take CCs, but will accept checks or money orders.
Keep copies of your emails to the seller incase there is a problem. You may want to go back and read what payment the seller said they would accept on the item's page. Sometimes it's in small print, but there should be something on that page.
good luck!

I have e-mailed the seller and have heard nothing. She had in large print, with pictures, which credit cards were accepted. I received an e-mail from Auctiva to complete the transaction. When I clicked "Continue" after the CC page is when the Error notice came up.

Is there another company called CCNOW? I saw somwthing about that too, but did not receive the noted invoice from them.

I just don't know what to do.

It's not turning into the best first experience.
