Dyson attachments

Somehow I have lost the stair attachment to my Dyson. Does anyone know where to buy replacement parts for Dyson vacuums? TIA

I had purchased once from Dyson themselves and it proved to be a pain and a long wait.

I noticed this post and I see you all have the vaccuum..I have been looking for one. I have central vac but honestly it doesnt seem to get deep down in the carpet. We seem to get lots of sand on the floors even if we take off our shoes....So my question is..Do you love it?

I'm one of the few that don't LOVE it. It's okay, but the attachments are not user friendly. I also don't think it picks up that much better than my old Eureka. I vacumned with my old one right before I ever used the Dyson and didn't get a lot more out of it and with two dogs I expected a lot!

It is great on carpets. We have a Golden Retriever which means lots of hair-all the time. It is OK on the wood floor but I don't love it for the hard floors.

We have two Dyson's, one for upstairs and one for downstairs. We have the DC17 Animal and the DC25. Both have their advantages and drawbacks. Overall, I would not want to go back to my old vacuum. The only vacuum I've seen that I think is better is the Rainbow, but that is a pita to deal with.

I have had excellent service calling Dyson. Our vaccuum had a few problems and they sent replacement parts. The part arrived fairly quickly, I must say they were excellent to talk to! I recommend calling them.


BTW, the Dyson we have (purple animal) is not all that awesome. While it does a good job and has a strong suction, it is not able to get close to the baseboards or corners. Personally I don't like the attachments and I use an old attachment from my Windtunnel to do our stairs.

But like I said their customer service is outstanding. We had filter problems and then the seal on the main suction cylinder was not right. We ended up getting free parts for almost the whole thing. Very happy that way.
