This past Saturday marked my 60 days to be able to book Fast Passes. I was so excited that I got up super early. I booked my passes at times I thought were good. I then went to review my touring plan on that "touring" website and, low and behold, NONE of my fast pass times were used when calculating my plan! This had me re-thinking my plan and pulling out every Disney touring book I have. I researched, cross-checked, and revised for several hours. The process was turning me into someone resembling Malificent! After all was said and done, I threw up my hands, and went back to my original pass times. I figure I will following the touring plan and use the passes as a backup. Anyone else fallen ill to this ailment of Dysfunctional Fast-Pass-itis? :headache:

OH yeah, spent over an hour trying to schedule who wanted to ride what ride, with who, who didn't want to ride which ride and I said forget it, can't be done, hate this. Then my teenager took my list of who, what, when and where of Fast Pass+ frustration and 15 minutes on the laptop later, he brings me back the list and says it's done. I pooh poohed that and when he left for school took a look of our Fast Pass+ plans on My Disney Experience app. The little rat did in 15 minutes what I was unable to accomplish is over an hour! And I'm sure he'll never let me forget it! Oh well, good news it's done, bad news, I may be a moron

Were you using touring plans? Did you click optimize? If so, I think there is a new option to click that says "force optimize to use my fast passes" but the thing I recommend most is put things in the order you want and click "evaluate". Keeps everything in your desired order and still gives you all the wait time info.

RideMax gives you the option for fixed-time FPs (like TSM and 7DMT) and "changeable" FPs (like HM and BTRR). Even within the same day.

Never, ever cluck the "optimize" button. If you want to use the touring plans generator, make your own touring plan based on the cheat sheets at easywdw.com, then put that info (in order) into the touring plans generator and click "evaluate."

That is what I do. Check the cheat sheets write down an order where we wont be criss crossing the park .
Then figure out what rides will be FP and go to touring plans and put them in order

HA! My daughter saw the look on my face and walked the other way!! She's 10 and later said, "It's fine Mom. We'll work it out." Love that kid!

I tried Optimize and Evaluate and neither worked out with my FastPasses.

Well, for evaluate, you have to move the FP attractions, and all other attractions, around in the plan so they work out time wise. If you prefer the software to pick your order, using "optimize", you click on the "force optimize to use my fastpasses". That's a new feature that @lentesta added after feedback here on the Dis.

Thank you! I've never planned a Disney visit before (previous visits were on the fly) so maybe I have come down with "Disney Planning-itis" which is known to affect your technological ability to use websites properly!! LOL!

Definitely click the "Force FP" checkbox for Optimize, if those are really the FPs that work best for you. We'll re-order the steps to make those FPs happen.

Thanks for the help @ArielSRL.

I totally understand. I'm the same as far as not planning a trip this much or as early before. It took me several tries to get the website figured out!
