Dylan's Epic Make A Wish DW trip

Hello, I am starting a thread to share and get ideas for my brave son Dylan's Make A Wish trip to Disney World. Dylan was diagnosed with Pre B cell -Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia September 17,2013. He was only 6 years old when he was diagnosed, now 7- he is my strong brave guy and I can't wait to see his excitement and joy during his wish trip!! We are so thankful and blessed that Dylan has responded so well to treatments. He has been in remission since October 2013 and has been kicking cancers butt ever since. Another reason why this trip is so special is because its not just Dylam that has had to battle this fight against cancer but our families battle! It has been especially difficult on Dylan's older brother Jacob (11). Seeing his little brother sick, losing his hair, hospital stays, missing out on "normal" kid stuff has been very tough on his big brother. Dylan also has a baby sister who had just turned 1 a few weeks before his diagnoses... This little girl brings do much happiness to Dylan. He loves his baby sister so much!! Our little man loves all things Disney- his originally wish was to go on a Disney Cruise but his medical team didn't approve that trip due Dylan having a "central line" port and the risk of infection with no way to treat on a boat.... So he was VERY excited to have the trip to Disney World offered!! We are waiting to get our dates.... Everyday my little man asks if Make A Wish called... It's so awesome to see him so happy!!

I'm sorry your family has had to go through this! It's never easy to have a child sick, and so hard to explain to a sibling.

Congrats on the trip!! Do you know where you are staying yet? Do you have dates? Your family is going to have an amazing time!!!! If your looking for info on wish trips, your at the right place!!! There are a ton of trip reports on here. You can also google wish trip reports or wish trip blogs! I'd be more than willing to answer anything I can also. We went on my sons trip last yr, and we are going on his twin brothers in sept!!!! Can't wait!!!
