hee hee, we dyed 18 eggs last night, I am DYING for an egg salad sandwich, would it be wrong to use a few today? LOL And I really don't have much in the house for lunch today.

By the power vested in me by the Easter Bunny, you are hereby absolved from any guilt resulting from the consumption of your eggs one day early. :goodvibes

I must be from another planet. I never thought about eating them :lmao: I have them boiling now & in a few hours they'll be dyed by DS & myself. I put them in a cute basket. Take pictures & then THROW them away. Always did that & now that I think about so did my mom. :rotfl2:

Ummm.............EWWWW!! Sorry, but we boil them, cool them, decorate them and then display them. We do not eat them after doing all of that. Can you not make a peanut butter and jelly?

dont they need to be refrigerated if you are going to eat them??

We colored our eggs this morning. Only a couple of hours later, I used 6 of them for deviled eggs for lunch!! The rest are in the fridge to bring to easter dinner tomorrow. We definitely eat them, I never thought about dyeing them and then throwing them out... too wasteful and we like hard boiled eggs too much!

FYI, if people want to keep eggs, they can always poke holes in either end and blow the eggs out, then color the shells. You can use the eggs for something and keep the colored shells, no wasting :)

yes, we dyed them last night, they have been sitting in fridge ever since, well actually I boiled them in the afternoon and let them sit in the fridge, then we dyed them before DD went to bed last night
Made the egg salad (with 4 eggs) it was awesome :)

Sorry no PB here, my house is peanut free, as DD is allergic to peanuts.

hahahaha thanks, it felt pretty good...yummy actually, no guilty feeling at all haha

I had 2 crack in the water while boiling them, so I made myself an egg salad sandwich for lunch today. YUM!

Well, the kids colored them around 11A today and off they went to play. Within an hour I took 5 of them for deviled eggs for tomorrow. Now we do buy an extra dozen which we do not cook, I mark them with an X (so I can tell them apart) and let the kids color them too. Later we use them for whatever we need. The hard boiled ones we eat this week. Yum.

:rotfl2::rotfl2: and although not stated I believe this also gives you the freedom to bite the ears off of the chocolate bunny 1st...but not until tomorrow morning of course !

If they have been refrigerated then you can eat them.

We decorate our eggs and put them in a basket. After Easter they go in the trash.

The kids are ready for coloring now. When the kids are done, they go in the fridge in a big basket after taking a picture with the kids. We eat them throught the week.

We eat them too. I would never have thought of throwing them out, budget friends, what's up with that???

We start eating them as soon as we dye them. We have been eating eggs all week.

I am shocked at how many people throw them away?

We dye our eggs and refrigerate them - then we eat them......no way I'm letting a dozen eggs go to waste.

I thought everyone ate their eggs too:confused3 we would never waste good eggs I am making 42 now between my 4 kids and sisters 2. I am going to make deviled eggs for tomorrow,(before dinner)
