I've just downloaded a trial copy of DxO Optics Pro 6 raw converter. After getting familiar with the interface, so far I'm impressed. It seems easy enough to use and the color output of my ORF raw files is fantastic.

One downfall is it is a bit slow but that seems more an issue of using an older PC than the program itself. After trying a few converters I've narrowed my choices to either this or Lightroom.

Has anyone else used DxO? Any feedback is welcome!!

DxO does a much better job with Sony high ISO RAWs than Lightroom 2, but the Lightroom 3 Beta is much improved also, so I'm torn whether I want to buy DxO now or just wait for LR3. In the end if DxO is still better than LR3 then I may end up with both just because I'm committed to Lightroom as a photo manager not just RAW converter.

I've downloaded the Lightroom 3 beta too so for now I'll experiment with the 2 and see which I like better then make a decision. I do like the photo manager features of Lightroom.
