Thinking about doing the DxDDP for our next trip since we will only be there a couple days.

My DS is 3, and although he isn't super picky, there is at least one restaurants where I know he won't like anything off the kids menu. Is it okay if he doesn't order anything, or will we have to use his credit anyway?

I'm thinking of using his credit to grab him a CS earlier in the day, and then just letting him have some of my app/dessert. Can I do this?

You should be fine, unless you're going to a buffet/fixed price/all you care to eat /dinner show type of place (e.g., Crystal Palace, CRT, HDDR). At one of those places, everyone has to pay regardless of what they eat. However at an al a carte place, you won't have to pay for him if he doesn't order anything.

Yes you can do this, so long as you're not at a buffet or fixed price restaurant.

Thanks so much!!! I'm thinking about doing this for the restaurants in Mexico. He's not into tacos, and if his chicken tenders come with rice instead of fries, he will not be pleased! LOL!!!!

The only other situation would be if you are doing the fantasmic package. For some reason, for them to be able to give you the ticket for each person, you have to order a meal for that person. We had this problem in January when DH was not feeling well enough for dinner but was hoping to be ok for the show. We HAD to order his dinner. Waiter was GREAT and packed it up to go for later. It never got eaten but the thought was really nice!

Don't be afraid to ask for substitutions at any of the Disney restaurants. If they possibly can, they will accommodate your child's eating preferences. They want everyone to be happy.
