Help! Anyone have experience with both? which did you like better? We have done DxDP before but have APs now and can't decide which way to go. We are 2 adults and 2 kids, so kids get a ton of value out of it. We do TS breakfast and Signature dinner most days, with some regular 1 credit dinners thrown in. We love the many snacks with the DxDP - just for fun. I have done the math and think they are pretty close, but I just can't decide what to do. Anyone have anything to add that would help me decide???

we have done both, and have decided we prefer the TiW card. But we're just 2 adults, no kids, and we rarely have snacks while at WDW (too full from the meals, lol.) Even on dining plans, if on the DDP we generally used the snack for a breakfast pastry, lunch was counter service & dinner was table service. On DxDDP, we'd do a pastry for breakfast, table service lunch (like buffet, or resort table service restaurant if we wanted to get away from parks) and signature restaurant for dinner. We always had many, many leftover snack credits on the DxDP. TIW will not be of much use for snacks...you do not get the discount on counter service places (except for a few resorts which do not have table service places...like the Value resorts...you get the discount at their counter service. But not in the parks where you'd probably be buying the fun snacks.)

What we like about TiW is the complete freedom to order what we want at the table service restaurants...if we want nothing but appetizers, we get the discount. If we want a cocktail with our meal...we get the discount. And if we don't feel like eating, or decide we just want a snack we're not wasting any credits. And no "leftover" snack credits at the end of the trip.:thumbsup2

My family did the DxDP on our last trip and liked parts of it, but ultimately decided it was just to much food. It was nice being able to order whatever we wanted and not be presented with a huge bill at the end of the meal. However, there were times when an appetizer, entree, and dessert per person were just to much food. We liked that it came with 2 snack credits per person per night (great for the F&W).

We did some preliminary estimates for our next trip and decided to try using a combination of TiW and DDP. Seems like a better balance.
