DxDDP - What time for lunch and dinner?

Hi,

I'm just a few days away from my 180 days out and will soon be making all our dining reservations. I was wondering if anyone had any advice about what times to choose when doing 2 sit-down restaurants in a day (we don't like breakfast)?

I was thinking we would do the first seating for lunch, to avoid crowds and to cut down on the wait for a table. If we do that, what would be the ideal time for dinner? If we don't eat an early dinner, can the wait for a table be bad, even with ADRs?

Thanks!!

May I ask - if you don't like b-fast, why did you choose the DxDDP? If you eliminate one meal like this, 3 credits a day seems like a lot. Are you planning on Signature dining?

I wouldn't rule out b-fast. To me that means vacation. Also, if you book CP at MK for 8a, reservation you get into the park before everyone else.

We're planning on eating at a lot of the Signature restaurants, plus we tend to be late night snackers. With the restaurants we've chosen, we only have 2 credits left by the end of our trip, and we might use those up with pizza delivery. :)

As for breakfast, we don't like waking up early enough to add that to our day, and we like the food choices for lunch and dinner much better. For us, grabbing a banana on the way out the door is a good breakfast. It's also another reason we plan to eat early for lunch.

What I would recommend is that you do an early lunch table service (TS) and then schedule a later dinner (perhaps around 7/7:30ish...if no children then later is ok too!!).

FYI...you can use your snack credits in the am for some breakfasty items in the food courts & counter service places (like danish) and since you will have the refillable mugs, if you require morning coffee/tea...you can get that from the food court as well.

You might want to try the signature restaurants...those require 2 TS or a couple of the dinner shows...we love Hoop De Doo Review...and depending on our airfare, was thinking about Polynesian Luau (both require 2 TS). Additionally, if you want the experience of eating in Cinderella's Castle and don't have children (or even if you do...we have DD6 and are doing this)...schedule a dinner!!! The Cinderella Castle Dinner requires 2TS as well.

I hope this helps.:thumbsup2
