We have been to Disney in late Sept/early Oct once (my fave):cloud9: , Dec, June and July. Now we are thinking about this coming November. Those who have been at Thanksgiving please tell me the pros/cons of this time of year. I'm guessing it must be better than June/July BUT everyone is out of school for the same exact time over Thanksgiving. I know I won't miss the heat though!
Please share!:cool1:

We have never been during Thanksgiving week, but my sil went last November for that week and she said it was mobbed. She said you just could not get much done at the parks, maybe a couple of rides. But the lines were just too long and just too many people in the parks in general. Her dd was 4 at the time. As for the heat, it was unusually cold and they were freezing, had to buy sweatshirts, spent time indoors a lot of the time and could only go to the pool one day. She would not go again during that week.

we went 2 years ago for Thanksgiving Day and the rest of the long weekend. Thanksgiving day was a zoo! We went to MK that day and got there when they opened and went straight to fantasyland. We rode most of the rides early and it was a good thing because later in the day it was nuts. The parks were decorated for Christmas which was really pretty and on Friday we went to the Candlelight Processional which was worth seeing to me. We wore capris and t-shirts during the day and it did get cool at night. We also had a nice turkey dinner at Cosmic Rays. It was such a spur of the moment trip everything else was booked. Good luck!:)

For us, Thanksgiving was wonderful! The kids only miss a few days of school, the weather was perfect, and we really enjoyed all the holiday decorations and parades.
We went in 2005 and are planning on being there this year during that week. We arrived on the Saturday before and enjoyed all the parks. It wasn't that busy at first... but the closer you got to the holiday, the busier it got.
We took someone's advice and avoided the MK on Thanksgiving, opting for MGM instead. While that park was busy, it was manageable and we had a great time! Their parade was awesome and we were able to see Santa come in at the end of the parade! I am so looking forward to that parade this year! We enjoyed the Osborn lights that evening and finished the night with Fantasmic!
The day after was extremely busy at Epcot, but we had already been there once that week, so we did Soarin' and Mission Space and spent the rest of the day enjoying WS.
My only suggestion would be to make sure that you have ADR's for your sit down meals...it was difficult to get a table on Friday. Not impossible...we were able to eat at Teppanyaki, but that was our only option.
Have a great trip! :thumbsup2
