My DH may have to leave WDW early and go back to work.
That would leave DW, DS (age 15) and DD (age 11) to do the Parks for 4 days without DH and fly home to have DH meet us at the airport.
We are staying at the Dolphin.
Anyone ever do the Parks with just one parent and 2 kids ?

How do you sit for a ride with only 2 seats - like Buzz or Peter Pan ?
parent alone goes on first and then 2 kids together follow in the next vehicle ?

What about bathrooms ? DS goes in alone while DW & DD wait for him ?

At the kids' agest you've listed, I wouldn't worry about it to much. Take turns who gets to sit with whom, take turns picking the rides. Bathrooms for either one of them should be fine. Make sure you have a plan if/when you get separated. I like making sure the boys have walkie talkies with each of them. Others say a cel phone works great. For us, we never know what our coverage will be like, so we avoid relying on them.
When I've gone places like that with the two boys, I've found that not having my DH there encouages us to interact with others in line and at restaurants. I also like to do TS more when I'm with the kids without DH, as we sit and are served or go through a buffet line, vs. me having to stand in line, send the kids off where I can't see them to get a table, etc. Plus, as a bonus, it's less expensive eating without the DH with!

Really should not be any issues at all at their ages. We have three in our family and the year that DS was 11 we started taking turns ridding alone and together on differnt rides. I did always put him in front if DH and I were ridding behind him. They will be fine at a table while you get food either at buffet or CS. I would be fine with DS going to the bathroom alone at WDW at 11 too but review safety rules and make sure that there is only one way in and one way out of the bathroom before you send him in. Have an EXACT meeting place outside the bathroom. I lost DS for just a second when we was 11 at Epcot because he or I were about 2 steps away from each other but a bush was between us.

Sounds like it could be a special bonding time for the three of you. DS and I enjoy time alone in parks.

I spent a week at WDW with my kids (then just turned 10 and just turned 8) and all went well. On most rides that seat 4, I sat by myself and let the kids sit together. On fast rides, I sat with dd as she's very tiny for her age, weighing under 45 pounds. A few rides (Test Track) seat 3, and in other attractions (Soarin, safari, etc) you sit in rows.

Your kids are old enough that everything could go smoothly. It was a bit of a struggle for my dd to handle her own food trays most of the time (and I always put her drink on my tray), but she did very well. Your kids are old enough to handle their own food trays, luggages, carry ons, etc. without problems. I was proud of the way my kids handled all of their stuff at the airport and pitched in when needed with keeping our room tidy.

It was a fun trip! We are thinking taking another Mom and Kids trip next year.

I do Disney with a 4 and 5 year old alone. I wouldn't worry about children's your ages. Make sure they wear a watch and carry 2 way radios in case you want to let them go off alone or if they get lost. Have fun! About the seating, make them sit together and you can enjoy having a seat to yourself, or take turns sitting with them.
