DVS/SSR Question

We are not members of DVC (but are very interested) We are staying for two weeks at SSR in June. What are the differences between staying at SSR as opposed to a regular resort? I have heard about Housekeeping differences but I am curious about others, such as internet or other amenities. We are not members so what things are not available to us at the resort.

Did you make ressies with disney or are you renting points from someone? It makes a difference. If you make a regular reservation with disney you will see no difference in housekeeping. However if you rented points or are using points of any kind the housekeeping is different. You will only get housekeeping trash/towel service on your 4th day and I believe full housekeeping on day 10.

I am not sure about the other things.

You'll get daily Mousekeeping booking through Disney.

Neither SSR or OKW offer room service dining or valet parking. The DVCs attached to non-DVC resorts do offer these services. Basically that is the difference between the "hotel" style DVCs and the "Condo" style DVCs.

As cash guests through Disney, all other amenities, including housekeeping, should be the same as any other Dsney resort.

As a guest staying at the resort on a reservation through CRO, you will not be eligible for DVC member perks. For example, DVC members staying on points do have free internet. As a resort guest, you would not be eligible for that.

No, you won't receive any of the DVC member benefits. You are a regular guest -- the only difference is you're staying in a DVC resort.

You will, however, receive all of the benefits of staying onsite, like DME, free theme park parking, EMH, etc.
