Anyone have this yet?
How is it? I just ordered it. I think it's like Tivo but less expensive and we don't need to purchase any more gadgets.

I have basically the same thing from my cable company. I can program up to 80 hours of movies, shows, etc. I can keep them for as long as I want or erase them if I want. it's really easy to program and you're right, one less gadget to hook up.

have fun with it!

Just got the DVR on Friday, I do not like it. You cannot record one program while watching another. That was the reason we wanted it. I plan to call the cable company tomorrow to see if we are doing anything wrong, but don't think so.

Paulette:(

I am really considering getting this from Comcast also. Any other opinions?

Paulette-What would be the point of it if you can't record one thing while watching another? Hopefully they can get it fixed for you.

We can watch another program while our DVR is recording something else....in fact, when I see the light go on on the DVR, it's like a reminder that I've programmed it. I don't have the reminder on the TV screen itself when I'm programming something, but I could if I wanted to...

I'll have to have DS here when they come to demonstrate how it works! Sounds like it's worth it. I was wondering if the $9.95/mo is for all your T.V.s or you just choose one to have DVR and the others are extra?

You have to splice the cable line into two and hook both up to the DVR ro be able to recorde something while watching something else. There should be two cable inputs on the rear of the DVR. You can usually buy a splitter (and extra wire) at your local Radio Shack.

I got mine 2 weeks ago, I to can record something else while watching another channel. I like it, I had one with my Dish satallie but now have comcast:mad:

I pay $9.95 for the one DVR, but I have 3 regular cable boxes on the bedroom tv's, for those, I pay the regular monthly fee. If I wanted another DVR on any other TV, I'd have to pay an additional $9.95.

I had my cable guy hook mine up, but it doesn't look like I have any splitters on it... Like I said, I program what I want to record then switch to another channel... I'll see the red light come on and it's recording with no problem.
