Hi Mike,

We have just bought one too, haven't got round to transferring the holiday tapes yet though!

Richard. :)

Personal question - how much do dvd recorders cost??

I am interested in getting one, but wondered what the price range was?

Hi Carene,

DVD Recorders range in price from about £375+

However if you buy one off of the internet you may get a cheaper price. Ebay also have some cheaper, brand-new models for sale. They are a great item, however they will probably dramatically drop in price over time (just like DVD palyers did). At the moment there are only a few makes and models out. We have got a Philips DVD R 980.

Hi Carene,
My DVD recorder cost £511 (Panasonic DMR-HS2) although I think the rrp is nearer £850.It has a hard drive recorder as well as recording onto DVD disk. The great thing is I can record onto the hard drive then transfer to DVD if I want a permanent copy. Also once a disc is recorded it can be played back on most DVD players too.

Mick.
