dvd recorder/vcr combo?

DH and I decided to get this as our big family gift this year. I just spent the past hour sitting at the computer trying to search for the best price. I'm not against buying refurbished, but don't want used. I haven't had much luck so far. Would like to keep the price below $70. I thought maybe the great folks on the budget board would have some ideas of where I could look?

Not sure about any of the details, or even if it had the vcr part, but I think the price was under 50 for a refurb. I've been looking as well, and the lowest I could've gotten a new one for is about 100+tax after Bing cashback from Overstock. DH said we could stand to wait it out a little while, so if you find anything good, please post the deal.

I've looke around too and usually new ones, the price in no lower than $66. I saw my local HHgregg had it for $66.

One thing you MIGHT consider, I am too, is getting the Dazzle DVD Recorder... it copies VHS tapes to DVD...


i've seen that for $44.

We're on the lookout too...I could care less about the VHS part...but Dh has TONS of VHS tapes he watches...and of course, our vcr part of our combo stopped working...so I guess we need a new one.

Santa is supposed to bring a new one for him...
