We want to get FIL a dvd player for Christmas since his broke and he doesn't have cable. Does anyone know who sells a good CHEAP dvd player (under 50.00) that will last more than a few months? What brands are good? Any deals out there right now? TIA!!

I see these at Target all the time, just a basic DVD player for about $50. No idea on how they work because we have one, check them out. :)

This site will update each Sunday, in late morning I think. It's a handy little site to tell you the prices of most electronic sales (pcs, blank media, appliances, tvs, etc.).

We have a few different ones, mid-range price to cheap. The cheap ones (cyberhome) will play anything that we throw at it. The more expensive ones will not play PAL dvds nor avi's (I think, been a while since we used it, easier to use the cheap ones).

I saw both a Sony and a Magnavox on the WalMart site (presumably in stores, too) for less than $40. HTH

I saw one at Walmart for $29.99 (it may be on the website too). I'm going to get one to go with the little TV in our exercise room.
